Today is a good day, it is an election day!

Congratulations to all the candidates that are on the ballot. As usual I find myself accused of involvement with some of the true information that has currently been distributed throughout the city. First of all I am not the one that used his credit card and ran it up to $46,000. It seems that anytime something goes wrong in this town I am the first one blamed.

As Democratic Chairman I have taken pride in getting Obama elected with the largest plurality in Union county with no help from Cory - who for the record never did anything to help Obama. So when Bernice mentioned that my running mates received more votes than I did in certain parts of town, I want to remind her that these are the same people that did not vote for Obama – I have accepted the fact that some things will never change.

The last election I won 32 districts out of 34, so you do the math.

As for my issue with the blatant use of nepotism practiced by the New Democrats organization, it is a fact that many of the young people in the city of Plainfield have been turned away from city hall because they were told that there were no jobs available, so the fact that Cory’s daughter was able to get a job is interesting, especially since I never saw her sweeping the streets like the other young people that were employed by that agency.

Ps I can understand someone coming home to help mommy however there is a big difference when someone comes home to LIVE off of mommy. When a parent raises a child and gives that child the best years of their life it is a shame that in their senior years they still have to take care of the child. When is it time to give mommy a break? If someone abuses a parent's goodness like this, I don’t dare imagine what that person would do as an elected official.
